Dr. George Awwad’s presentation focussed on management techniques for hip and knee osteoarthritis.

Dr George Awwad is an Adelaide based Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in sports injuries and joint replacement, particularly knee surgery and hip surgery. He has a special interest in the latest developments in robotic surgery and direct anterior approach to the hip. Dr Awwad consults and provides treatment for various knee and hip conditions from multiple locations in Adelaide.

As well as a well-respected knee and hip surgeon, Dr Awwad is an Associate Clinical Lecturer of The University of Adelaide and is involved in several research projects. He has also worked with professional sports teams including the NSW Waratahs Super Rugby Union team and the Newcastle Knights Rugby League team.
