Master Your Workspace: An Assessment Workshop

‘Master Your Workspace’!

Is your workspace step-up in a way that ‘it works for you’?

Do you spend about 40-50 hours/week at the workstation/desks & are experiencing conditions like: neck pain, back pain, tennis elbow, shoulder issues like bursitis, etc.

Did you know..

  • Treating these conditions costs a lot of money & time and affects work efficiency
  • Workstation assessments are expensive (approx. $245 to $550)
  • By learning how to set up our workstation, you can be the ‘Master of Your Workspace’  and do it independently

We have designed a special upcoming ‘workspace assessment workshop’ to empower you!

A safe and efficient workspace is essential for everyone. Whether you work from home or from your office.

It is well known that an inefficient workspace not only costs a lot of time and resources, it also results in a loss of expected revenue and profitability as it prevents staff from functioning at their full potential.

A well designed workspace helps to promote health, efficiency and prevent injury. Comparatively, as we increasingly spend more time at our workspace, poor ergonomics can produce a variety of problems, most notably lower back and neck pain.

Lower back pain (LBP) and neck pain are very serious issues which many people struggle with throughout their life.

Some of these statistics demonstrate how damaging low back pain (LBP) and neck pain can be:

  • 85% of the population will have at least one episode of severe LBP in their life
  • 48% of the population will suffer from neck pain in their lifetime
  • LBP accounts for more than 25% of all workcover claims
  • 26% of the population complains of neck pain in any year

Many studies have shown that these injuries are often linked to postural issues and sedentary lifestyles closely linked with poor ergonomics.

A poor ergonomic environment can often be amended in a few easy steps. At Therapia Sports & Spine we are passionate not just about treating existing injuries but helping our clients implement a healthy lifestyle that reduces the risk of re-injury.

To increase awareness around injury prevention within our community, we will be running a specialised workshop on workspace assessment.

Information sessions such as this are invaluable opportunities for both medical professionals and the broader community to engage with us and help us help you lead a healthier lifestyle.

What will the workshop cover:

  • Spinal health and its importance
  • Ideal posture and how to maintain it
  • Effects of poor posture
  • The most common workstation mistakes
  • Setting-up ‘sit to stand desk’
  • How to identify and implement the ideal ergonomic setup (empowering you)
  • Simple stretches you can do at work while being productive
  • You can claim 1 hour of CPD points (self guided learning) for this workshop
