The first step in your treatment journey at Therapia would be to book an initial consultation with one of our physio team, who will conduct a thorough assessment of your injury or your needs, considering any medical history, and create a detailed plan for your future treatment. This future treatment will depend on your specific condition and/or your individual goals, and could include some of our other services including remedial massage and strength + flexibility/yoga classes.
Remedial massage is an extremely effective way of releasing tight muscles which can easily develop as a result of the persistent loading coming from high octane sport. Our remedial massage therapist, Arjun, is specifically trained in sports massage and uses his extensive anatomical knowledge to work in tandem with our physiotherapy team to treat sports injuries. Massage is an effective method of both releasing tight muscles as well as targeting specific injuries, depending on your particular situation.
Our Strength + Flexibility and yoga classes are exercise classes run throughout the week by our physios, aiming to develop whole body strength and full body flexibility in a controlled environment. These are ideal classes for those who are suffering from persistent tightness and pain, and allow those with an active lifestyle to maintain fitness on an ongoing basis. While you do not need to have an assessment with our physios to attend these classes (unlike our pilates classes), they are still run by qualified physios, and thus they can factor in any existing medical history you may have when attending these classes.
