Reformer Pilates is commonly a fitness-based class that makes use of reformer machines, often delivered in larger group settings where participants follow the same exercises led by an instructor or screen. It may suit those looking for general fitness support without specific pain, injury, or rehabilitation needs.
Clinical Pilates is more personalised and is usually led by a physiotherapist in a smaller group setting. At Therapia Sports & Spine, Clinical Pilates classes are limited to a maximum of five people, allowing your program to be tailored to your injury history, current movement, strength, flexibility, fitness level, and recovery goals. Your program may include a range of Pilates equipment such as the reformer, multi-chair, trapeze table, ladder barrel, spine corrector, and mat-based exercises.
Many private health funds provide rebates for physiotherapist-led Clinical Pilates when using eligible passes. Simply purchase your pass upfront and claim your rebate once your sessions have been completed.
Our billing code is 506; we suggest checking your extras cover with your health fund to confirm your eligibility prior to booking.
