Reformer Pilates is generally a fitness-focused class conducted using reformer machines, often in larger group settings where all participants follow the same exercises guided by an instructor or screen. It may be a good option for general fitness if you do not have specific pain, injury, or rehabilitation needs.
Clinical Pilates is more individually tailored and is generally led by a physiotherapist in a smaller group setting. At Therapia Sports & Spine, Clinical Pilates classes are capped at five people, allowing your program to be personalised to your injury history, current movement, strength, flexibility, fitness level, and recovery goals. Your program may draw on a range of Pilates equipment such as the reformer, multi-chair, trapeze table, ladder barrel, spine corrector, and mat-based exercises.
Many private health funds provide rebates for physiotherapist-led Clinical Pilates when using eligible passes. Simply purchase your pass upfront and claim your rebate once your sessions have been completed.
Our billing code is 506; we recommend checking your extras cover with your health fund to confirm your eligibility before booking.
