Physio’s can apply for extended consults with their workcover clients in order to gather detailed understanding of their injury and what is needed in their recovery.Early communication with the case manager is paramount in setting the long-term management of a patient.In some cases, a multi-disciplinary approach is important to ensure a holistic approach (Physio’s shouldn’t feel the need to ‘treat it all’ if it is out of their scope).Worksite visits with the patient can help us gather a lot more information about the physical demands of their work.
